Open by appointment only
To protect all involved, and to avoid being a place that contributes to the spread of Covid 19, we will continue with an appointment only system for the foreseeable future.
If you’d like to book an appointment, please call us, or email us, including your phone number and details of the sort of kit or functionality (vinyl, streaming, cassette, etc) that you’re interested in – maybe add pics of the room if you’re choosing speakers for. We can talk ahead of your visit to make sure that everything goes smoothly.
Personal virtual shopping
Our aim is that choosing a hifi from Audio Gold involves a completely personal experience as each of your needs and requirements is different from our other lovely customers. This isn’t possible at an online shop, where you need to know what you want to buy, but we can get a long way there virtually; via FaceTime, Zoom, WhatsApp and others, we can still offer you a friendly face, a our knowledge and a view of the most beautiful home audio kit available – we can help you choose the right setup to make your isolation sound a whole lot better.
We’ll work with you to sort out the logistics of getting any new hifi or records delivered to you locally or by courier in a safe and secure way, while being available for ongoing advice and support on set up and use
Hygiene
We have supplies of latex gloves, along with surface and hand sanitiser and we’re not afraid to use them!
In addition to extra diligence in hand washing, we’ll be using these supplies – especially on things such as telephones, card machine, keyboard, door handles, etc. We can also provide you with gloves if they’d make you more comfortable, or if you want to flick through records etc. If you have any queries about this, please let us know.
Discount for NHS workers
Personally and collectively, we’ve already got reasons to be massively grateful to the people of the NHS. This debt is likely about to increase hugely. For NHS workers, who’s little downtime would be improved by good sounds, we’ll give a blanket 10% discount off everything in the shop, and we’ll be able to do a lot better than that on much of the kit – especially secondhand and refurbished equipment.
If you work for the NHS yourself, or have friends who do, please let them know that we’ll do our best to look after them as we know they’ll do for us.
