Transcriptors began making turntables in the 60's and were taken on my Michell Engineering in 1977. They have been at the forefront of turntable technology and design for close to 50 years and is renowned for producing turntables that outperform much more expensive brands. The original design concept of Transcriptors was inspired by old clocks and watches from the 17th and 18th century and a desire to make the elegance of turntable engineering clearly visible rather than hidden in a box.
Michell turntables are precision instruments that are designed to reproduce sound as close as possible to the master recording.
